Tiku Weds Sheru -WARNING(Spoiler) The concept is perfect for a unique love story AGE GAP - NOT A ISSUE I don't have any issues with age gap btw characters because i think it makes sense. Sheru is a struggling actor, he must have put off his marriage in youth for pursuing his dreams like many other strugglers waiting for chance in Mumbai. On the contrary, Tiku is a naive girl with big dreams,coming from a conservative family.Who ultimately gets married to Sheru , as an only way to get closer to Mumbai. ACTING - by both Nawaz and Avneet, is good, gets u emotional in scenes. ISSUES!!! Weak screen play, fails the potential of story. Bizzare writing and Illogical Showing Avneet having a baby, had no contribution to storyline. Nawaz forgiving avneet for having an illegitimate baby and betraying his trust,just after marriage, makes no sense. He is angry in one scene and ready to accept the baby in next. Tiku also, says she loves him after hanging out once with him. After getting a baby, Tiku immediately gives up on her dream of being an actress. Based on the passion shown by her character in start,one would expect her to either abort the baby, or at consider it in her lowest. Simillarly she gets ready to sleep with men for opportunity, without much thought being put into it. These things,make both characters weak,as their personality never gets established. The movie somehow expects audience to root for tiku sheru, when it doesn't show anything convincing for it,nor does it give time for the relationship to be established. The songs are good but they randomly play in the background while scenes go on. The songs deserved to be better utilized. Oversexualisation of Avneet, the message of exploitation, sexual scenes etc could have been represented with hints,rather than exposing a young actress on screen,in her debut. Most scenes ,cleavage is highlighted,when tbh story doesn't have any requirement for it. Towards the end of movie, one feels like the story didn't even start, because times gets over but nothing is established really. Also it has the most abrupt ending ever. BETTER PLOT SUGGESTION - After nawaz gets into world of drugs for earning more to keep is young wife happy, he should have been miserably trapped in cycle, and ultimately has no choice but to share it with his wife. How they both navigate and escape from this toxic world,would have been more interesting to see. How their character goes from their individual dreams to just solving issues together, and finally falling in love with each other in the process.
