I have over 4000 hrs on Dead by Daylight and the gameplay had got very stale/boring. I wanted to stay in genre so switched to Evil Dead as a replacement. I enjoyed it very much but has some of the same issues (maybe worse). Main issue for me is balance. I completely understand there are 4 survivors to one killer/demon so from a business perspective makes sense to cater to the side of 4. However....you need crazy people like me to play killer/demon in order to please the team of 4. Heres my experience so far with ED. Demons are to weak...there I said it. I cant tell you how many times my "boss" was killed by one survivor yes you heard right 1 player of the team of 4 kicking my boss unit in the teeth. In games were 4 v 1 the 1 should be at minimum as strong as the 4. Not here though and you dont want to see what happens when all 4 are max level...good lord. Demons max at lvl 45 and survivors max at 25...and they get to play matches against bot demons and earn xp. Nothing of the sort for Demons they have to take beating after beating to lvl up. I have not lost everygame but a decent majority of games you are there to give survivors something to do. Sure if matchmaking throws you a bone and you get a team of solos low leveled you can win but if they are maxed which dont take long you wont even scratch them. If that wasnt enough there are specific characters that are just god like...looking at you kelly, demons get booted 800 meters away from objectives, plus a ton of exploits. Pretty much just waiting for one of these games to get even close to balanced.
