As with so many medical shows this one is painful to watch. I watched only 3 episodes before giving it the boot. It is beyond unrealistic. I am an ICU nurse and I've worked in the ED as well. The drama and the scenarios in this show are just ridiculous. I guess being in the medical field makes it difficult to enjoy the types of shows. The biggest problem with these shows is that the doctors and nurses always become so involved with the patients. Often following them to the other units and then when the doctors actually take a patient to surgery and then assist in that surgery. That NEVER happens. I'm not saying that an ED doctor can't do surgery but they wouldn't do that in a surgery suite. Patients get passed to the next unit because that unit has the expertise to deal with it. In one scene a patient was in cardiac arrest with just a nurse and doctor in the room. In reality that becomes a major intervention with several nurses, doctors, RT's and others in the room. This show should be a comedy since it is comical how they portray the hospital ED.
