I love the storyline and the casting. It's nice to have a narrative set in the Midwest rather than the East or West Coast. The cast represents a much wider swath of America than normal cinematic fare and that's part of the appeal for me - so many different kinds of people can see themselves reflected in it. We're a handful of episodes in and love the writing. Many scenes reflect authenticity in how people actually speak and i appreciate that attention to detail. I'm sure there are loads of people who hate the casting, but there are reruns of Old Yeller and Mayberry out there to watch, too, so it's great there's something for everyone on TV these days.

I like this reboot of Watson. Unlike some of the reviewers 🤨, the race of the actors doesn't bother me. I think they casted a show that looks as diverse as the country we live in and I appreciate that very much. They are also talented actors, so they clearly earned their role. I like the characters, altho I am hoping for a second season because each episode we find out a little bit about each cast member, but it's not enough to paint a full picture, even this far into season 1. It's a show that I can watch with multiple ages of family members, which I appreciate very much.

Well-written, compelling main character, interesting storylines, and easy enough for multiple generations of family to watch together.

I loved the cartoon, and initially, I was really unhappy with the live-action remake. But then again, I am hella old and it's not made for me. My niece and nephew, however, will love this movie. So I rate it favorably because younger audiences will likely love it and that's what's most important.

This show is so well written. I love the humor and the perspective it's taken from a Black family in the 60s. It's so relatable. And there's Dule Hill. That's a +1 right there
