Interesting movie. Warts and all look at white Australia and I was distracted by the sleezy film makers. The sleeze which was prevalent in the 70s looks cringy today. The film however is worthy.

Comments like "Take this woman like a man" and other derogatory comments belittleing girls' abilities and all within the first 15 mins has not endeared me to this movie. It's for kids but these comments aren't suitable for kids either.

The music at the beginning manipulates the viewer. It gives a scathing view on modern youth. The girl who feels high anxiety because she doesn't know how the series Friends will conclude. The final scene with her. The reactions of the characters under stress are probably more real than I care to acknowledge.

Tin Man has many good things to offer. It's an entertaining show for kids in a low key way. Zooey Deschanel is surprisingly bad. Maybe she only has one schtick and it doesn't help this movie. I could barely tolerate her acting. The interest in this movie lies with its loose correlation to The Wizard of Oz.
