**SPOILER***
For the reviews calling this movie trash, you probably read on a 5th grade level. Not to throw shade. There was a lot to unravel here. The plot was beautiful portrayed with a young boy quickly becoming a man in the wake of his mother's impeding death. His father struggling to raise a young man and deal with his wife's illness, yet still needing to do the things that nature intended.
The evolution of zombies over the last 28 years was interesting and welcomed.
The most unspoken about part of this film was the inclusion of religion and I'm interested to see where that goes in the next film.
This movie was written beautiful and the acting was just as good. All of that being said, it does have flaws (as most movies do). I personally feel like there should have been more character building with the mom and her deterioration. It was quite a waste of talent with Jodie Comer being such a talented actress.
