Not sure where to begin. One star because Michelle Yeoh is a great actor. The rest of the casting is poor. So far removed from the action reboots with Chris Pine which were actually decent Dialogue is cringe, wooden, hammy. The entire tone of the film and cast interactions is really odd. Wacky when it should be serious, overly-serious and borderline pious at other times eg “one of these buttons is the hold release lock, the other is a SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE” **sigh** The smattering of non-human characters who are mostly just irritant and of very little consequence to the plot or sequence of the film. The intermittent chapter display which breaks the fourth wall is cartoon-esque and pointless Really really bad. Feel genuinely robbed of an hour and a half. Don’t waste your time with this garbage.

Zero stars. So bad it’s unwatchable. Acting is wooden and terrible. Feels like watching a High School drama production - a terrible one at that. An absolute disgrace to Rankin’s books.
