Tinā like many good films, arrived at the right time with the right message. It touches on the aspects that make us human, the emotions and experiences that we all face regardless of race, gender or societal status and culture. There are films made for young minds and hearts. This is one of them. I enjoyed every aspect of this film, the casting was superb. The greatest films stretch the mind and heart. Tinā doesn’t just that.

A powerful, beautiful retelling that respects children’s intelligence This is not the Disney version. That’s what makes it special. Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is a stop-motion masterpiece that introduces young viewers (recommended for 10+) to timeless themes like love, grief, disobedience, and the cost of blind obedience. Set in WWII Italy, it explores difficult topics such as war, loss, and fascism with care. It is never graphic or overwhelming. The visuals are stunning, the music is thoughtful, and the message is hopeful. Being real means being true to your own conscience. We watched it as a family and had meaningful conversations afterwards. A thoughtful and worthwhile film for families who value substance over sugarcoating.
