One of my favorite trips was travelling Highway 14 across South Dakota with my fiance , and reading successive chapters about each next town we would visit, often taking a side trip to view the sites mentioned in Dr. Miller's book. That made a lovely drive all the more enjoyable, as the towns we visited came alive through his stories.
