A gritty, raw coming of age film where a young girl finds herself at an intersection of family confliction of a broken home to racism. Then, you add in a girl finding herself at the beginning of sexual awakening with a new boyfriend and an older gentlemanly neighbour who steps way beyond the boundaries.
I found it to be well acted. Well staged. All in general, a really good Indy film.
It has laughs, cries, gut-wrenching serious scenes to light-hearted moments that make you smile. A must-see at least once for any movie buff 😉
