Being a HUGE Bruce Lee fan, this series was both compelling and retrospective about the life of Bruce Lee. Many liberties were used for entertainment value but watched this series with a Bruce Lee philosophy of getting to the essential and simple story while disregarding what were showy and fancy flaws in 50 episodes. Once Bruce discovered his passion for fighting and martial arts, his commitment and dedication to it was relentless. His arrogance to being the best as well as promoting Chinese culture was the drive that made him a worldwide mega superstar Along the way of learning various disciplines to widen his skill level, his growth as a human being was quite evident with each chapter. All the actors did an excellent job, especially Danny Chan who made you feel you were really watching Bruce Lee. The fight scenes were fantastic while the music, tone and scenery added to the mystique of a man who exceeded human expectations and tested the boundaries of what can be achieved with mind, body and spirit. His profound philosophy enhanced his prowess in his quest for a unique style of martial arts. He is more relevant in society today than he was in the 70’s for his forward thinking and popular among the younger generation. Jeet Kune Do was the Way of the Adaptive Flexible Fist as it was always evolving. Be water, my friends.
