I'm pretty sure I read about this in a dissertation from 2018. It was called, "The Performance of Memorialization: Politics of Memory and Memory-Making at the Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys" by Dr. Kaniqua Robinson. It was amazing! There are strong similarities between this book and her dissertation. I would definitely recommend reading that dissertation instead! Her writing style is much less self-focused and really focuses on the cultural anthropology aspect of this story.
