I will start this off by saying that I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed it, and am able to say that it was perfectly inoffensive on the good to bad scale. But it left me with a few mixed opinions.
The writing was ultimately not the best, and with a few changes the movie could have become completely unnecessary plot wise.
The movie feels a bit more like pandering to the fans at times more than another installment of the newer Spider-Man.
The acting of Tom Holland was excellent for the most part, and I enjoyed it. I just wish the movie was executed better. Ultimately it sort of feels like a possible ending of the MCU Spider-Man (hopefully not) but if so, it feels a bit underwhelming and unsatisfactory.
Again, I enjoyed it but it could have been so much better. As someone who watched both of the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies for the first time this year, and thought they were original, and special…this- was not as good.
