S-L-O-W! If you are looking for a sci-fi show about going to Mars, don't bother with this one. Mars plays of very little importance to the storyline, while the characters struggle with life and issues that don't move the plot at all. This was one of the most boring shows I've ever watched. It was so boring the only characters name I really remember is Sean Penn's. I kept waiting and waiting for something compelling to happen, some reason to continue watching, but when they still hadn't launched for Mars by the sixth show, I was done. Then I read they don't launch until the last show and there is no second season. What is the point? I also take issue with the cinematography. I know it is the "cool" arty thing to do now to shoot nearly every scene in darkness, but when you can't see the characters talking and have to guess who it is by their voice, that's not cool, it's annoying. It looked like it was a promising show, but it was a total dud that was so hard to watch that I couldn't even make it through 8 episodes.
