Madame Versiera

Great film on the Holocaust. People who are ignorant about the subject will probably not appreciate it, because the director was clever enough to make a courageus film and not one to please the audience. The film shows us the monotonous life of Hoss and his family rather than showing us the horrific killing and suffering of the victims. In this way we are forced to indentify with the killers, see how similar we are to them, instead of separating us from the "monsters". The cinematography, actors and soundtrack are also exceptional. Christian Friedel is an actor I never noticed before but he is so good in this role, as Sandra Huller.

This movie is surprisingly good, very difficult to see in today's cinema. I like how it referenced racial tension in a more subtle and terrifying way, how the hero escapes at the end is really genius, and the bloody scenes are not too exhausting. There are also elements of comedy in Peele's movies that I really enjoy
