A shame I came into this series too late. In all honesty from what I've seen, compared to other series on Paramount + this relieved very little marketing compared to say Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown or any of the Star Trek series. No, it's not the best but it's by long way as bad as a lot of the Star Trek Discovery series, and that's putting mildly. Certainly cut short just as it was getting into it's stride. Guess I'll just have to read the books now. 🫠

Not your everyday Western as in the Spaghetti style, nor is it your John Wayne 1950/60's style cowboys and Indians. Yes, there are cowboys & Indians, but there's Cattle Rustlers, Gangs, Pickpockets & much more. For a me I found this series to be very profound on several levels. The acting was really good and blends in well with the commentary that carries you through from beginning to end as if you're on the outside looking in. Having a young family it gave us all a lot of food for thought, which today is very unusual. Don't get me wrong, there's lot of fun in this movie, making it a well balanced tale with beautiful photography of the Wild West that still exists today. Sit back with your can of coke, popcorn 🍿 and a box of tissues, you'll find out why soon enough😉😎

Having read all the books as and when they came out, it's been a while since my eyes read this amazing tale. Yes there are huge similarities to other tales, but this is still a terrific story. Season one is after all season one which pulls you in as you get to know the characters. So far no there is no real sex, there wasn't in the books so why should there be here? This should work on its own merit and I'm sure it will get amazingly better in season 2. If not, well Amazon will lose a lot of subscribers including me thats for sure.

We've seen the original show two or three times when it was on at Londons West End, and quite simply we both loved everything about it. This movie opens up the stage to sets only glimpsed at to draw one into a more colourful feline world than we ever imagined. If you hate this production you would probably have hated the stage show, but if you loved the stage show and are willing to see it in new and clearer eyes you probably love this as we did. Well worth the watch and thanks for bringing back those glorious memories.
