For people doing research on family, this book is a fascinating visit to long ago times of my ancestors journey from the Old World to endure the frontier, wars and ship wrecks. It is an invaluable thread and treasure linking me as far back as Vikings up to today! I'm very proud of Chalkley J. Hambleton's efforts. He lost both his lawyer's office and his home to the Great Chicago Fire, but evidently saved this history!
