As a huge fan of the SNG, Voyager, DS9, and Enterprise, this was a massive disappointment and almost embarrassing addition to the Star Trek Franchise - easily the worst of the franchise by a wide margin. Whereas the original series promoted unity (for human kind) and explored intresting moral and philosophical questions through a wide range of entertaining stories, this series was almost the polar opposite promoting division along blatant identity and ideological lines and lacked any meaningful or entertain story plots. It is a sad stain on a beautiful legacy. I strongly encourage anyone considering the franchise to watch the older series first. They are worth your time. This is not.

Terrible. This story started with good potential with interesting world building, decent writing, etc. However, the potential was quickly squandered by lengthy hormonal-driven scenes and idiotic plot development with holes so wide you can park several cruise liners in them ... and still have room to spare. The "bad-guy-build-up" was lazy, sloppy and contrived. Suffice to say that it did not create tension, only frustration. What a waste. Author, my advice is next time don't try so hard to write the 'next Twilight blockbuster' or whatever. Forcing it usually means failing it, and this failed hard.
