Incredibly immersive and intense. More of an experience than a movie. The sound design is top notch. For how tough it was to enjoy, I’m very glad to have seen this movie, especially in IMAX.

Positively brilliant use of the cinematic tools: color, sound design, music, editing, transitions, composition, and performance. Waves transcends the individual and strikes a chord in our deepest humanity. It will shake you to your core, and while the price is paid in an emotion drain, it’s more than worth it. This is a masterpiece.
