Bad/corny acting and actions. Stereotypical scary movie mistakes. Such as a high stress situation where they need to get away because they're being chased but one of the girls wants to stop and check out the gold first then they get caught. Or they are about to accomplish something then one of the teens sees something they don't like so they freak out and blown their cover ruining the whole plan. Honestly don't understand the hype around the series. It seems it was written for elementary and jr high students, yet the main characters smoke weed. Its kind of like "On My Block".
