I love that it shows the full dance scenes, not just pieces of the choreography. And there's romance but it doesn't involve petty drama. Overall the drama is at a minimum which is great. I love movies about dancing and I loved to see the dancers actually dance. It's not drama with dance in the background. The movie actually takes time to acknowledge the things it's about. I loved the dancers in the movie. I thought they were really great. I especially loved the duets when they were rehearsing for the show. They dance beautifully together. I love that the movie is about dance, music, and art, and it actively seeks to portray that. It doesn't loose sight of its own genre. (Some dance movies you watch are just for drama.)
