My Wife and I thought that this was going to be a good movie to watch together since she is in the Psychiatric Field. However, we both feel that Thomas Birdsey is portrayed to be Autistic more than Paranoid Schizophrenic. His outlandish outbursts and somewhat slower reactions in his behavior would suggest that maybe the story writers are not accurately depicting someone with "Schizophrenia" correctly... Just as I made the mistake of thinking this was a movie verse a mini series LoL
