Simply beautiful. Gets all the happy chemicals going. Lots of exploration, adventure, and secrets to be discovered. The base-building aspect is wonderfully fun and unique. I can't recommend this game enough for a simplistic yet deep experience. Might have some mature language, but I think it could be a decent game for children as well if you're okay with certain bad words being used. It teaches a lot of life lessons and the mini-games are relatively straight-forward. Might be good to have an adult nearby just to help them get the hang of things, but I would play this with my kids if I had any.
