I have been a long time viewer of NBC Nightly News, starting with Tom Brokaw, then Brian Williams and now Lester Holt. I will no longer watch NBC Nightly News or any other NBC News program because of its ongoing biases in its political coverages. During the election night (and morning) coverage by NBC, Lester Holt, Savannah Guthrie, Chuck Todd and others provided stories and analyses of the election results. Early Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump came to the podium at the White House to offer comments on the election. During his comments, he made certain claims as to who was winning certain states. Ms. Guthrie objected to those claims and broke into the Presidents comments purporting to correct the President's statements and she and Mr. Todd proceeded to talk over the President's comments for several minutes. I have no problem with Ms. Guthrie and Mr. Todd offering comments as to the accuracy of the President's statements but they should have waited until he had concluded his remarks before doing so. Viewers who wanted to hear all of President Trump's comments were prevented from doing so. This amounted to unwarranted censorship of the President's comments and exhibited poor manners in the treatment of the President. I have no doubt that had Mr. Biden incorrectly stated facts as to the tallies, his mistakes probably would not have been corrected and certainly would not have been corrected by talking over him while he was still speaking. This incident continues to demonstrate NBC News' lack of impartially in its coverage of President Trump. It would be entirely appropriate and much more descriptive for NBC Universal to rename its news division "NBC News and Opinions". I will now turn to Fox News for my daily news, not because they are unbiased, but because they are admittedly so. They do not purport to be pure news reporting programs while allowing their reporters to display their biases in their reporting.
