My main negative opinion is that some of the acting and story lines are just awful. Elder mother??? Seriously??? Her character and her acting are just about as bad as it can get. The other issue I had is in season 4 where Lacey is chained to a bed and elder mother is going to bring in men to rape her. This story line made me think immediately of slavery. What was Tyler Perry thinking????

I wasn't expecting much from this movie but what a surprise. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. The acting was really well done and the story itself is so touching. Eddie Murphy is wonderful as Mr. Church.
