I get the mythology behind the giant ball sacks . But it’s still weird and “interesting” explaining their various uses in the film to younger audience members. Overall a great flick with an endearing moral . Worthy of the Studio Gibli brand. I recommend it to all. Just be prepared to do a bit of pre game study on the Japanese cultural mythology behind the Tanuki (raccoon dog) before watching with younger kids. That way it’ll be easier to explain when the inevitable question as to why they use their scrotums as parachutes, boats , balloons, blankets, wepons etc. comes up 😂
