This show takes a little while to find it's feet, and at times can be frustrating, as Ava seems to be on a long and arduous journey to avoid her fate. Ava can at times be annoying, as she seems determined to deny her heroic nature, and live a carefree existence, while denying all that she has witnessed that tell her she should do otherwise. But, despite this, there are moments that make this show feel like it's worth the effort. And once Ava finds her feet, and begins to understand who she is, it really starts to shine. The performances definitely keep you interested in the story from star to finish, and the premise is intriguing, to say the least. It feels a bit like Dan Brown writes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with its own twists thrown in to give it a little bit of a unique flavour. By the end I had forgotten the dislikes , and was hoping that it earned a second season, to see where they went next This may not be the greatest show I have ever watched, but it is well worth a view IMHO.
