I have just seen the movie and I am somewhat disappointed. I accept that the story is deeper than the challenge of Ford conquering Ferrari at Le Mans but I am also a motor racing fan and the rock on which many ( most) of the movies with a motor sport theme perish is the on track sequences and sadly that is true again in this case. Having said that I think that all of the lead actors are well cast and played their roles excellently and as an overall comment the movie is entertaining. Ron Howard's film " Rush" is also historically based and set the standard in filming motor racing action scenes at a level which regrettably this one failed to achieve.

The Scandinavian scenery is stunning as always but regrettably this movie has little else to recommend it. As an enthusiastic reader of the original trilogy and viewer of the three Swedish films that ensued I was disappointed with this effort on every level. The plot was more akin to a James Bond production and gave the characters very little scope to display their talents. Sorry but this is a case of going back to the well once too often.
