Well well well. I was expecting the new silence of the lambs… what a monumental let down. There was a great set up of the story and then 2 thirds of the way in, it’s as if they ran out of ideas or couldn’t afford to finish the story or worse they changed the script writer and it fell off a cliff. Music, cinematography, were all excellent. Acting was solid but the script went for a walk and fell the aforementioned cliff and didn’t survive. It went from a potential complex clue based satanic mass murderer to supernatural mumbo-jumbo in about two minutes. There is scene that is reminiscent of the black smoke in Lost. Equally as stupid and equally unexplained. I cannot fathom how the director, producers and editors could’ve thought: ‘Nailed it’. It is dumb and predictable and obvious at the end. Wasted 2hrs I will never get back.

Absolutely spell binding. Phenomenal cinematography great acting and brilliant screen writing. Intense and complex politics and intrigue.
