The Plot? First half was a drag. Rising action failed to lure me into the story... idk why they decided to have 2 plots running at the same time instead of focusing on just 1. Theme? Unidentifiable. Love and Romance? More like Love/trust no one (because they could be eaten by a shark/piranha, be a liar/gold digger, murderer/ghost or a soul sucking witch). Acting? Keaton and Ortega stood out while everyone else fell short (including Ryder). Acting felt vapid, could be a script issue. Dialogue? Could've used a lot more revising/ refining. Less is more at times. They tried way too hard to explain everything instead of just showing the audience. No real connection was felt between the characters. Cinematography? Clearly Burton's priority was to make it an aesthetically pleasing movie. Rewatching? No thanks

Hard to watch, movie felt very low budget. From the camera work to the writing.

Story and Character development was terrible. Acting looked forced for the majority of the characters, especially the new one who tried way too hard to look cool and badass. In all honesty looks like she was there to just meet diversity requirements and look like a pretty Hans Solo. Everything was predictable and nothing emotionally drew me into story.

Great movie, don’t understand some of these bad reviews. My best guess would be that it’s the same ppl that disliked Watchmen (2009).

This 4-hour movie covers all the plot holes left by Joss Whedon. It’s everything the 2017 edition wasn’t.

Costumes and CGI look cheap. All the character’s dialogue feels unauthentic and so scripted that I never once forget that they are actors acting. Storyline jumps all over the place with terrible transitions. The show is so overdramatized at times it should be run on telemundo along with other soap operas.
