It’s shame this movie is so bad because it has a handful of well known actors. The movie tried to introduce too many ideas/ plot lines that it made the movie stupid. Had they just stuck with one: hallucinating your biggest fear OR airborne virus OR supernatural beings OR historical legend, the movie could’ve been watchable. The characters are Simple and unbelievable. The ending was not a resolution and attempted to wrap everything up with some text messages from a character that was never mentioned before.

This movie feels unbelievable despite it being based on a true story. The acting is poorly executed by most of the actors. The portrayal of her psychotic and manic symptoms were stereotypical and unrealistic unfortunately.

I watched this because I adore Issa Rae. However I found that the couple was not a believable one. They each acted well and complimented each other but they really didn’t have romantic chemistry that made the relationship believable. I did get bored at certain parts of the movie and scrolled on social media. Overall, not a bad movie just a little cheesy sometimes. Definitely one that I would only watch once.
