The romance makes up for the historical inaccuracies. I watched this movie when I was like, 6-7 and I didn’t understand it much cause I’m a dumb idiot child lol. I’m not a big fan of rom-com, like most of the romantic comedy movies out there are just ehhh for me but this movie was one that I tolerated and slowly grew to love. I mean, yeah, the film has some inconsistencies when it comes to the animation (some I’ve noticed anyway) and the magic element of the movie was a bit ridiculous and stuff but the romance as well as the characters compensates for it. My mother own the DVD and I remember always watching and sometimes always requesting to watch the film after school haha. Rewatching the film now when I’m 16 my mind hasn’t changed much about the film lmao. I still very much like the film, still not a big fan of romance or comedy or romantic comedy but I still really like this film.

The best movie to have ever existed!! I rewatched it a couple of weeks ago and although there are flaws in some parts the nostalgia is what gives this movie a 100/100. The best thing to have ever happened in media yes yes.
