ou cant stretch out the 2nd act of a scene for 90 min and call it a film!
It must be really easy to start a story in the middle and not have to write a beginning premise or conclude ending that explains all that has been omitted...and that's what this is. 2 people walking the desert looking for some utopian salvation called Crystal Lake. OK well the entire film is over long and boring scenes of the 2 characters doing that and only that. This should have been maybe 10 minutes of screentime in the middle of a film STARTS WITH THE BACKSTORY OF "WHY" they left the city. What planet is this on? Why is the City so terrible and how did it get that way??
Why do people have AI robots? Why is this Crystal lake so great? NAH....that would have taken some creative writing and given the film substance.
It's clear the writer was enamored with Star wars opening scene with C3PO walking the desert so he got himself a robot head and put it in the desert! Imagine Star Wars with C3PO walking the desert for 90 minutes??? with no storyline about the Empire or the Rebel Alliance....WELL.... HERE'S WHAT THAT FILM WOULD LOOK LIKE!
I read that people find the scenes in the desert as "Stunning" Go back and watch the first Star Wars opening showing the desert so you can understand the meaning of the word "Stunning"
This film has no imagination and just steals cliches in dialog and premise for 90 minutes. So many plot holes that you just have to give up any sense of....Sense! In a world with such toxicological skills with people have AI robots and fuel cells that can power a Hovercraft for 15 years ...(Yes they say Hovercraft LOL), why would a person need to walk the desert to get to the Lake? BTW the lake isn't that far if a person can walk there in a few weeks so why is the place so mysterious that hardly anyone knows about it? FYI that lake looked more like an Ocean with teh waves on teh beach...Just say'in
