Banjo is a story of very ordinary people surviving through all the hurdles and disappointments of a meaningless life, but with the dream and passion of music, which eventually leads them to achieve success. It is a musical drama but to be honest none of the tracks worth humming after finishing this movie, which is a serious drawback. Screenplay has succeeded to show the struggling lives of the four Banjo members in the Mumbai slum along with their non-cooperative families. Riteish Deshmukh has done excellent job in this film, with all the helplessness, disappointments and appropriate bravery of a Mumbai 'Tapori', Tarath touches the heart. Dharmesh and the other two costars also worth mention(though their bonding as friends could have been more expressive). Narigs Fakri was expressionless throughout the movie, except of being a pretty face she didn't do any justice to her character. Story is nothing out of box, but the movie is worth watching for the work of camera and some good acting.
