Tommy Scoot

Terrible. Half the book is made up of Link wondering around doing nothing until Shelter (The only slightly interesting character who was the only reason I even put up with the book until the end) kills Ginger and then tries to kill Link. The plot is awful, I will place a bet that you don't remember half the side characters names, the ending of the book doesn't result in character development or any change at all (This can only be excused when the story is fun to read and interesting but this book fails to even do that). I get that it is made to be 'informative', but this is a fiction. Some chapters are dedicated to Shelter and his cat committing crimes and that has nothing to do with Link until the very end of the book when Shelter goes from being slightly interesting to just cartoonishly evil like a goddamn Disney villain. There is no ending conflict that the readers expect, yes its not an action novel, but readers expect some form of finale for a book other than "And they lived happily (on the streets) ever after. Of Mice And Men did it and it is a significantly better book even though it was made in the 1960's and I would read that ten times over reading Stone Cold again, why couldn't this book resolve anything creatively? I make dumb anime fanfictions and I can write endings way better than this waste of trees. The fact that teachers make kids read this trash should be a violation to human rights.
