So much better with entertaining and genuinely funny people like Paddy and to a lesser extent Freddie. Even Chris Harris is funnier now.
I agree with comments that Clarkson had become too arrogant. Glad he is gone, it felt like everyone had to nod and agree to his anti-Tesla, anti-environment, insular, johnny foreigner attitudes. His jingoism became grating with his obsession for Jaguars and any other British car.
Even so it went downhill with Chris Evans, improved a bit with LeBlanc but generally felt more and more fake and forced in terms of relationship between the 3. It was all too obvious, the token man for diversity Rory, the guy for the american audience Le Blanc and then someone who actually knows about cars and can drive, Harris.
At least these guys genuinely make some funny and at times hilarious moments. I normally don't like Flintoff and he does sometimes come off as a bit of a numpty and the show is in danger of turning into lets bully Chris to get laughs, but that aside so much better than Le Blanc et al.
If Flintoff can tone down the school bully routine, which to some extent Chris Harris provokes with some equally snobby comments, these 3 could get a really good format and dynamic going.
Haven't enjoyed Top Gear this much since the early days, well done.
