Watching El Dragon, I found it hard to suspend my disbelief. A "safe" narcotic that altruistically did nothing more than make people happy, but caused half its users to die from profuse internal hemorrhaging? A moral Japanese-trained martial artist who refuses to use guns but has no qualms about murdering weaker women who were on the side of the law against money launderers and drug lords? A noble journalist dedicated to fighting organized crime but covering up his druglord money-laundering friend? And look, their chemical laboratory that produces the hit drug marketed around the world but which looked like a closet with a few flasks, no laboratory fixtures, and clueless chemists who are no more impressive than lab techs? This series has warped morals. At least other druglord and money laundering movies make no pretensions about being heroic. Lousy series. I'm not holding my breath for future installments. One Star.
