Don't listen to the naysayers. This is just the distraction I needed. Honest entertainment, an honest comedy without culture wars and with little politics beyond the comic absurdity of it all. If you need to get away from it all and spend some time with a brilliant cast with amazing comic timing and talent then jump on board this space flight of fancy. I didn't realise how tired I was of all the cynicism until I got a little fresh air. The fact the public love this and many critics do not would suggest that maybe the critics live in ivory towers and think that if light-hearted comedy doesn't serve a purpose for them it has no purpose for real people. This is so far from the truth. We need to just laugh right now. The creatives need to realise that our lives already suck a lot of the time right now and we need some more escapism. This is a comedy that is endearing and inoffensive and I mean that in the best way imaginable. It's somewhere to go and just be happy. Thanks, Space Force. I haven't smiled or laughed in a couple of months. It is something I really needed.
