Hunger Games meets Harry Potter meets Twilight

A story about how a son blames his dad for an alien invasion all while the daughter hyperventilates. The below average intelligence dad by some miracle got a van to run while everybody else couldn't. Wind blows towards a supercell storm and it is called inflow. That's why there are tornadoes. Whoever wrote the script clearly didn't do their homework.

I'd much rather watch Bright Burn. There's a problem with creating demons with too much power or too much immortality. There's even things that demons fear --the Second Death comes to mind-- and those things should balance the atmosphere.

IMDB gives this a 6.2 but I don't agree with their rating. This should be up there around 8.4. This was a wild story and wild effects movie. If Siskel and Ebert were still alive they would have been crazy about it. Just remember, the alien is the "color". A lot of people said negative things about John Carpenter's The Thing when it came out especially about the suspense and tension which they said it focused more on that instead of what critics wanted which was action and revelation. Yet Carpenter's work today got a major award and recognition as a masterpiece. Several people on here gave one or three stars and babbled on about things that they believed were flaws but weren't. I think this movie got overlooked due to COVID-19 and if there hadn't been a pandemic then there would have been a larger number of fans as opposed to simple minded critics.

I have to say this isn't a bad production. I think the rating on it is unjust. This may not have been major movie theater quality but the story was good the computer graphics weren't B rate and actually better than the CG in television shows like "Sliders". The actors aren't bad actors either and the script was typical. If this production had been a premiere for a television series I would be back every episode. But for a blockbuster at the movie theaters it was definitely below that quality.

If it was a tv series it would be good weekly entertainment. The people who are critical of it are essentially saying they are OK with how Michael Bay handled Transformers. If you want to see a good movie about a murderous robot then checkout Hardware. At least they played Ministry - Stigmata in that movie.
