This is one of the best anime I've ever seen, besides Silent Voice and Studio Ghibli. There is so many wonderful things about this movie! I love how it seamlessly transports you from the present, to the future, and the past. And each time we travel the little boy (Kun) learns something from his sister or his parents and grandparents. Then he takes that lesson and applies it to his present situation. It's wonderful to see this type of character growth on the little five year old. Its overall message will make you cry. I cried so hard towards the end of this movie and for a long time afterward. The message is the little things from our family's history makes us who we are today. Every single person who watches this movie can relate to that message. Even if you decide to not watch this, think about your family's history. I'm sure there's multiple times where if someone didn't do or say something, your whole family will be much much different. Heck, you might not even be alive. Please watch this movie you will not be disappointed. 10/10 bananas
