I always thought Scarlett Johansson was like the Katy Perry of acting; very little talent and good looks. I knew, however, that directors chose to put all the focus on her looks instead of giving her the opportunity to showcase her acting skills. Marriage Story witnesses her liberation as she gives one of the most emotional performances of the year. Marriage Story has some of the best writing I've ever seen. Moved me like no other divorce tale ever did. Of course this has to do with the story being inspired by director and writer Noah Baumbach and actress Jennifer Jason Leigh's divorce. Adam Driver is at his best. It's either him or Joaquin. I wouldn't mind a tie tho. Same thing with Best Original Screenplay. I wouldn't mind a tie between Marriage Story, Parasite & Knives Out. But If I had to only pick one, it's Marriage Story without a doubt. SO GOOD UGH.

Truly, this film is gorgeous. The way Melanie uses school as a metaphor for society to make some points about social issues is incredible. It's important to point out the flawless cinematography, production design and custom design. Plot is very well-written and will shock you if you have the same low expectations I had before watching. Her songwriting is as thought-provoking as that on Crybaby. Every line got me more excited to hear the next on. However, the production didn't leave a mark the way that of Crybaby's did.

Green Book is great and includes some of the best dialogues I've heard in a while. Mahershala Ali proves to be an amazing actor once more. He killed every single scene he was in. The main character, Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen) is almost poorly-written and illogically built. This is a movie that will make you laugh and cry. Some may not be pleased with the message they get out of it.

Such a beautiful and cathartic film. Bradley Cooper wowed me with his performance and direction. The cinematography is amazing even though it only shows one shot that is wide. Lady Gaga was good and did her part. Every song in the movie has a league of its own. The only true flaw in the movie is the editing. Some certain scenes were not put in the right order.
