The worst thing to happen to cinematic feminism. This movie took a strong, bold and inspirational female character and turned her into a unachievable, unrelatable unfriendly mute. Where the original was powered by emotive songs and a humorous sidekick, this remake leaves much to be desired by a lack of script and poorly executed dramatic silences. The initially terrifying hun army and their formidable leader are reduced to an group of low faith relying on a witch. The fight scenes are cheapened by poor quality CGI and even poorer acting. I am disappointed and wish I could not only gain back the two hours of my life I wasted watching this but also the months I waited in anticipation.
