It was a good movie, but it doesn’t even halfway meet the book. I went in excited, but you have to understand it was a PG-13 rating, so automatically I knew we weren’t going to get the full book experience, and then just the fact of how long the movie would have had to been to get through the first book.( also, if you expect a 2nd movie, the 1st needs good reviews, and the ending just makes you hope for a second movie) It skips out on major key parts in the book, and doesn’t go in-depth of the characters well enough. It’s just seems to someone who hasn’t read the books a stereotypical good girl wants the guy who seems no good. But even in the movie Hardin wasn’t made out to be the character we all fell in love with, infact he wasn’t even as jerkish, maybe 1 line where you thought “ wowww” . One thing that bothered me was the fact that it was all rushed, and it skipped around, sorry for spoiler, but it made it out as the first time Tessa meets Hardin’s Dad is at the wedding reception, and that came quickly after they started to get close in the movie. But I still enjoyed it, though. You have to give credit that it’s better than nothing, and I’m sure they did the best they could with the circumstances, and the PG-13 rating. I actually don’t hate the actors, which was one thing that at first I was worried. But gotta love Hero’s “Theresa”.
