Why in the name of heavens do the producers deem it necessary to play loud, inane music over the reader of the “news headlines “? My hearing is not 100% and I can’t hear one word of what the announcer is saying. BBC NEWS is just the same. Do they think that this makes any difference to the news? It is really annoying and I just wish that they could come up with some way where we listeners could cancel out this nonsense music. The news programme itself is fine, regrettably always spoiled by this so called music.
