Good performances in places, but the story is ropy at best. Some of the things that should be left for viewers to figure out for themselves, is ramed down your throat with zero subtlety. To bed fair, we gave up on it after three episodes.

If you're familiar with the books, you stand a fair chance of following this (so I'm told by a fan of the books). If not, and you're a fan of good acting or direction don't bother. Clichéd fantasy tedium.
