I really enjoyed watching this movie, it was also an eye opener for me. As someone who has struggled with insecurity, it put into perspective how damaging and limiting it could be. The damage that it causes in our lives. Confidence isn't about how you look, it's how YOU feel about yourself. She often compared herself to others, didn't believe she was good enough, all the etc's... When in reality it all boils down to knowing who you are, loving who you are, and loving yourself. I could relate to Renee because alot of the negative thoughts she had of herself, the things the insecure Renee said of herself and some of her insecure actions and expressions I have also done. So, it's a real eye opener and it puts things in to perspective if you struggle with insecurity. I would recommend this movie for those that do. I wouldn't say this is the only movie, but it is one of the movies I'd recommend. It also shows you no matter your ethnicity, body shape, body size, age, social status, there are many women out there that have insecurities of their own. And maybe just maybe that thing you are most insecure about it not a crutch but the thing that makes you stronger, makes you precious. For example, I found Avery's high pitched voice to be very endearing. Maybe she could have used it to her advantaged in some way to promote the diffusion line, but she had Rene doing all the work because she didn't believe in herself all because of the sound of her voice. So little things like that in the movie really stood out to me and forced me to stop and think. Good movie. I would recommend. :)
