This is your typical Hollywood movie that seems to get good reviews because of the trending social cause. The NY Times loved it, Metacritic (79% liked), Rotten Tomatoes (92% liked). Almost every review mentions #metoo. But when I look at people that would call this a 'movie' rather than a 'film' the ratings drop to 34% positive. Right here on google reviews the biggest review category is 1 star, which is what I will give it. I am a bit tired of being roped into mediocre movies by socially active critics that want to advance some cause like the hullabaloo surrounding Brokeback Mountain a few years back, which to me, was entirely average. It's not that I particularly disagree with the causes. I just want to see an interesting movie instead of being 'educated' on my views, and this movie is a bout as boring as a day at the office.
