I like watching the video footage of the animals used in the show but only when I’m alone. The show is not very funny, and though effort has gone into trying to write songs, using funny faces on animals, etc, all the effort is wasted because of the crass level of humour used. Has a lot more potential. Can actually attract kids with cleaner jokes.

Many have rated this movie fairly, so perhaps my review will be a mere addition to those. However, I will admit freely, that I started crying during the movie, because it was so spine-chillingly real. Fantastic direction, amazing acting, especially, by the lady actor playing the role of Malko, the BLO, as well as the tribal villagers, who are innocent bystanders caught between politics and machinery of our democracy and the tussle for power between the military and naxal insurgents. Very low key production and subtle yet gutsy story-line, one that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Classy direction along the lines of Satyajit Ray's or Mrinal Sen's movies. I'm glad that the film has been nominated for the Oscars. Wish it all the best.
