It in no way deserves the moniker of "worst comic movie", and it very much is suffering in the public sphere because most people don't take genre shifts in sequels well. Joaquin believed in it enough to put his own money into it, and I, for one, join him. This film does not deserve the hate.

A number of nods to both the previous adaptations of the film and miniseries, while minimizing what was removed for time constraints. Moreover, this film continues to show Legendary's mastery of presence and scope, while continuing to defy those who think of them as only able to do films in the vein of 300.
