I understand the concept of distancing your thoughts , from the neurotic chatter of your inner voice. But in the beginning we are told to read this with pure intuitiveness. So as you progress the intial understanding becomes , twisted into using apathy mixed with empathy towards thoughts in general. And that's neurotic in of it's self. The book is overall thought provoking, but for first timers taking a step into the world of consciousness and self growth. Take this book with a grain of salt.
